2011 Annual Convention Call for Presentations Now Open
The American Land Title Association is now accepting presentation proposals for its 2011 Annual Convention, which will be held Oct. 12-15 at the Charleston Place Hotel in Charleston, S.C.
The Call for Presentations is your opportunity to share knowledge, experience and expertise with meeting attendees. Either as an individual or as a part of a group, you can join the ranks of recognized experts.
Deadline to submit a proposal is Friday, June 10.
If you are interested in proposing a session, you can go here to learn more about the process. Follow the link to the online form, which contains a drop-down menu with relevant topics from which you can choose - or you can propose your own topic. The site also includes information about the selection process and speaker benefits.
Presentation content changes slightly from year to year, but here's a list of some examples of approved content:
- Compliance and Legal Issues
- Human Resources
- Agent-Underwriter Relationship Trends
- Recognizing and Preventing Fraud
- Business and Title Industry Ethics
ALTA leadership, volunteers and staff will review proposals and you should learn the final status of your proposal by the end of June.
If your presentation is selected, you and any co-presenters are eligible for complimentary Annual Convention registration and one night's accommodation (room and tax only) in the Annual Convention hotel.
