Illinois, Florida, North Carolina Report Mixed Results, Higher Median Prices

Home sales reports from state Realtor associations came in with mixed results in June. Here is a sampling:

The Illinois Association of Realtors reported 11,721 existing single-family homes were sold during the month, a 6.2 percent decrease from last year. Year-to-date sales totaled 53,670, a 5.8 percent increase compared with the year-ago results. The statewide median home price rose to $170,300, a 5.7 percent increase from $161,100 in June of last year.

The Florida Association of Realtors reported 14,407 existing single-family homes were sold in June, virtually unchanged from the 14,379 homes sold during the same period last year. The statewide median home price rose to $142,400, a 7 percent increase from $132,500 in June of last year.

The North Carolina Association of Realtors reported 8,089 existing single-family homes were sold in June, a figure almost identical to home sales for the same period last year. The statewide median home price was $189,283.
