(1) U.S. Life Title of Dallas and its New York subsidiaries were sold
by U.S. Life to a consortium of savings and loans which operated them as
separate companies under the umbrella name of Title USA. Title USA of Dallas was
placed in receivership by the Texas Department of Insurance in connection with
the RTC take-over of the principal savings and loan owner sometime in 1989 or
1990. The New York subsidiary was sold to another firm free of any obligations
of its parent.
(2) Sold operating assets to North American Title Co. of Colorado and
no longer in business as an agent January 31, 1994.
