North American Title Insurance Company is a seasoned title insurance underwriter that has been helping customers achieve the American dream of homeownership for more than 50 years. In the past several years, we have become known as the “underwriter next door, because our associates are always easy to reach and our processes are, at all times, quick and straightforward. Our agency application process is fast and transparent for qualified agents. NATIC offers a one-hour underwriting response guarantee that is unparallelled in our industry. In addition, we value our agents based on their title industry knowledge and experience, not just on profits alone.

TSS Software Integrates with TrustLink

August 21, 2014

TSS Software, a technology solutions provider to the title and settlement services industry, integrated its TitleExpress with First American SMS’ TrustLink platform. The integration gives TitleExpress customers easier visibility into their escrow accounts through increased capacity to share and view data between the two platforms.

TitleExpress customers will benefit from TrustLink services through daily three-way reconciliation, which clears items from TrustLink directly in TitleExpress and eliminates the need for duplicate data entry. This service also provides transparency into escrow accounts, segregates data and duties, and allows Internet access to detailed account information.

“This integration will further assist our customers in meeting ALTA’s Best Practice pillar number two and will provide them even more visibility into their internal data and processes,” said Mickey Jones, general manager at TSS.

The second pillar of ALTA’s “Title Insurance and Settlement Company Best Practices” encourages title professionals to adopt and maintain appropriate written procedures and controls for escrow trust accounts allowing for electronic verification of reconciliation. Appropriate and effective escrow controls and staff training help title and settlement companies meet client and legal requirements for the safeguarding of client funds. These procedures ensure accuracy and minimize the exposure to loss of client funds.
