Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA), Ranking Member of the House Financial Services Committee, today wrote a letter to the Chairman and Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on VA, HUD and Independent Agencies of the House Appropriations Committee withdrawing his support, expressed earlier this year, for an increased appropriation for the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO). Copies of the letters are attached.
