2000 State Legislative Report - Missouri

Effective August 28, 2000, An entirely new code will govern the issuance of title insurance in Missouri. The only thing left from the old code is the plant law, §381.071, RSMo. It remains unchanged. The new code is based upon, yet quite different from, the model title insurers act and model title agents act of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
