Demonstrating ALTA Best Practices Compliance for Title Agents

Lenders have not provided clear guidance on what compliance reports will be required from their title agents, as well as the specific compliance benchmark to be used in determining compliance with federal consumer financial laws. Some lenders have already started asking their title agents for policies and procedures in accordance with ALTA Best Practices, and a few lenders are even asking for a certification report that the title agent is in compliance with the ALTA Best Practices Framework.
